Pain Procedures and Injections


  • Epidural Steroid

    Distributes steroids to treat inflammation and low back pain

  • Trigger Point

    Treats extremely painful areas of muscles

  • Facet Joint Injections

    Proves facet joints are the cause (or origin) of pain; also used to alleviate back or neck pain and inflammation.

  • Medial Branch Blocks

    Temporarily disrupts the pain signal from being carried from a specific facet joint to the brain.

  • Sacroiliac Injections

    Reduces or eliminates pain from arthritis.

  • Peripheral Nerve Block

    Uses an anesthetic near nerve(s) to temporarily numb the area in the body

  • Intra-articular Injection

    An affected joint is injected with a solution containing a corticosteroid medication to help decrease inflammation and pain in the joint

  • Chemodenervation (Botox for migraines)


  • Ablations

    Used to reduce pain using an electrical current produced by a radio wave to heat up a small area of nerve tissue, in order to decrease pain signals from that specific area.

  • Facet Radiofrequency Neurotomy

    Minimally invasive procedure that applies heat to treat nerve pain that will reduce or eliminates pain in damaged facet joints (connections between the bones of the spine). Useful after other forms of treatment have failed.

  • Discography

    Diagnostic procedure that helps to determine if back pain is caused by tears or damage to one or more spinal discs.

  • Discectomy

    Removal of herniated disc material that is pressing on a nerve root or spinal cord
